Browser Extensions

Our browser extensions make it easy to save and access your bookmarks directly from your browser. They are available for Chrome, Firefox, and Edge.

Installation

  1. Visit the Chrome Web Store
  2. Search for ”Zek Bookmarks”
  3. Click “Add to Chrome”
  4. Sign in with your Zek account

Signing In

After installing the extension:

  1. Click the icon in your browser toolbar
  2. Click “Sign In”
  3. Enter your email and password
  4. The extension will sync with your account

Features

Saving Bookmarks

To save the current page as a bookmark:

  1. Click the icon in your browser toolbar
  2. The page title, URL, and description will be automatically filled
  3. Add tags to organize your bookmark
  4. Click “Save”

Keyboard Shortcuts

Use keyboard shortcuts for faster access:

  • Ctrl+Shift+B (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+Shift+B (Mac): Open the bookmark panel

You can customize these shortcuts in your browser’s extension settings.

Privacy

Our browser extension follows the same privacy-first principles as our apps:

  • All data is encrypted before leaving your browser
  • We do not track your browsing history
  • We only access the current page data when you explicitly choose to save it
  • The extension requires minimal permissions to function

Troubleshooting

Extension Not Working

If the extension isn’t working properly:

  1. Make sure you’re signed in
  2. Try refreshing the page
  3. Restart your browser
  4. Reinstall the extension

Sync Issues

If your bookmarks aren’t syncing:

  1. Check your internet connection
  2. Make sure you’re signed in with the correct account
  3. Click the refresh button in the extension
  4. Sign out and sign back in
